Keps and Wisp Database!!

It seem to be an old problem with keps updating and Wisp.

My solution :-
1- Deleting the old wisp keps file.
2- Update only the keps for the satellite you want to use.eg AO-51,GO-32,HO-68
No need for the other sats at database file.
3- Prepate the keps for the satellites you want to use in a Notepad text file.

Here the advice of Mr. Howard Long and Mr.Mineo.
----------------------------------
G6LVB / Howard Long wrote at 28 Jun 2002:

o Shut down Wisp
o Rename the Wisp.kep file to something else (just in case)
o Restart Wisp.
o For each satellite which was previously scheduled, you will get an error
"GSC cannot find satellite xx-xx in the keplarian database....".
OK each message.
o Re-import the keps (Database -> Update Satellite Database)
o Shutdown Wisp
o Restart Wisp
o Tracking -> Redo Schedule

------------------

JE9PEL wrote How to reset WiSP.KEP:

1. Delete 'C:\wisp\WiSP Schedule.DAT' and 'C:\wisp\WiSP.KEP'
2. Run GSC.EXE
3. Then you will get an error message:
'GSC cannot find satellite ... in the keplerrian database'
OK each messages.
4. GSC - Database - Update Satellite Database
and import the right TLE file.
5. GSC - Setup - Satellite Setup - (satellite) - Edit - OK
Do it each satellites.
6. GSC - Tracking - Redo Schedule

Can the fantastic old software (PB.exe and PG.exe ) work with HO-68 BBS??

The PG file at Amsat download site not include PFHADD
But there is a full version of PFHADD at

ftp://ftp.amsat.org/amsat/software/PC/pacsat/

Down load and unzip it to same directory of PG.EXE.

The easy way to add header to the upload file under window
by PFHADD as following :-

Write your message with notepad.
Save it
Right click your saved message.
Chose open with.
Go to choose program.
Go to browse.
Go to PFHADD on the same file where you have PG.exe.
A DOS window of PFHADD wll pop up .
PFHADD wll ask you many questions!!(you need to know that )
Now you have Pacsat upload file ready for sat.

HO-68 FM/Packet Understanding

FM / Digital working principle is that whoever will relay signal to who
should transmit first. the transponder is not torn between the uplink
signals.

In other words, if the voice first, open the repeater and talk, this time
where the transmitting packet data is necessary to wait for voice
communication before end of the processing voice. By the same token, if
you are transmitting Packet data into voice link from time to time, the
satellite will continue to transmit the packet data to complete the data
frame, and then process voice request if the request is still active.

On the other hand, if there are a lot of very strong signals transmit to
the satellite at same time, the satellite receiver may be unable to decode
67Hz PL correctly, so voice will be unable to be replied in that case.

The photo I’ve paint and uploaded carried a QST message to save Forest and Trees.
More useful meaning to BBS in time of fast DSL.

The Directory was empty! I wish to receive a reply soon. Really FM killing the packet or vice versa . I'm lucky coz I'm here in quit Africa. (Not so quite, Not so lucky with DXCC )

The all-week, one-mode Schedule should give a chance to many hams to read and upload their messages before deleted by OBC. . Thanks Alan for this arrangement which had been suggested by my Elmer Mr. Dom.

Many Friends sent me an email asking about WISP setup!!
Here every thing in it default setting. I haven’t change any thing only I’ve added the
Broadcast and BBS callsign . I’m using an old PC Pentium 2 OS is XP.

Genesat-1 TLM

GeneSat-1 is a 10 x 10 x 30 cm. spacecraft, which will conduct a cellular biology technology demonstration.

Of particular interest to the amateur radio satellite community, is the GeneSat-1 beacon. Operating at 437.075 MHz FM, the beacon sends an AX.25 packet at 1200 baud every 5 seconds; the packet contains data about the spacecraft systems operation

I try to received Genesat TLM beacon with many software
All softwares gave me a good result specially UISS

You can see the result of MS hyperterminal program
And UISS in action at my youtube channel
